Our goose hunting guides have provided some of the best guided goose hunting in Wyoming over the past several years, proving that they have what it takes to consistently shoot geese. With access to many ranches and farms along the Big Horn and North Platte Rivers your Wyoming goose hunting guide will keep you under the geese from the beginning of the season through the end.
Most Wyoming goose hunts take place from layout blinds with your guide knowing how to hide them, this allows us to move with the birds to give our clients the best possible shooting for any situation. We believe in resting our fields and don’t over pressure them so the geese will stay in the area. Your goose guide will provide access to large decoy spreads of high quality goose decoys and the professional knowledge and calling skill that it takes to shoot geese in Wyoming day after day!
Our guides had a great track record last season shooting geese almost 90% of the time out! The Wyoming goose hunting season runs from early October through mid February and although we harvest geese early in the fall the goose hunting usually doesn’t heat up in terms of over all bird numbers until December.
You be the judge early season goose hunting in Wyoming may see a limited number of birds but rest assured everyone else is deer hunting so many times these are some very up close and personal hunts with our clients meeting the birds face to face. Early season offers the Wyoming goose hunter some unique opportunities from small pond to flooded field hunting. Later in the season more northern geese move in with the cold weather and our guides really start to stack up the birds. Lakes and river begin to freeze and the geese go on a feeding frenzy in large numbers!
We also offer a limited number of guided snow goose hunt each spring. The season usually runs through the month of March.
Wyoming has a five goose daily limit. Hunters will need a Wyoming HIP stamp available online, a Federal Duck Stamp and a daily license for the day of your hunt usually around fifteen dollars a day.
